In the Lavender Haze

One of my absolute favorite things is an awesome pair of mom jeans. They're an easy way to make an outfit have a slightly retro touch without taking it overboard. I always like pairing mine with a colorful belt to avoid the boxy silhouette that baggier bottoms can sometimes create...lol I'm a fan of accentuating what few curves I do have!

I love very minimal jewelry; I normally wear the same two bracelets every day with one or two different pieces added depending on my outfit. The same goes for my necklace, which reads "peace." The only things I change dramatically are my rings...I have too many to choose from.

For The City

Photos by Gabe Rivera (http://www.ninetythree.co/)
I have to say it’s super weird to think about the fact that this is my last blog post of 2014…seems like just last week I was complaining about the raging summer heat! Although the majority of us tend to become quite wistful in reminiscing on great moments from the year, I could not be more excited for a new year and all of the new experiences that it will bring. I’m so looking forward to seeing the exciting projects that my friends and myself will take part in this year and all that we’re able to accomplish. From my high school graduation, to heading off to college in a new city, 2015 will bring a lot of new beginnings for me…and I’m ready for them all. I’m trying not to go all pseudo-philosophical on you guys, but I just want to encourage everyone who’s reading this to continue on your journey working towards whatever your goal is…everything that is meant to be will come into fruition when it’s the right time!

Sweet November

I have been waiting for the time of year when I can finally saunter around town in my favorite jacket again. I think of all the different types of outerwear, a classic trench coat has to be one of my absolute favorites. As an individual, I've always adored vibrant colors and loud prints; anything loud is right up my alley. Consequently, while I'm growing up and cultivating my continuously changing style, I enjoy incorporating much more subtle and relaxed colors into my daily wardrobe.

So it probably wasn't the best idea to run across a street with incoming traffic...at least it made for a great picture!

These are also my favorite shoes ever...the "granny" tapestry print is just on the verge of being too dated for my preference, but the spikes add a fun, modern element to them! I'd wear them every day if I could.

A Walk in the Park

We've been blessed with some pretty great weather these past couple weeks here in D town! Although I do love the summer heat, I have to admit that I definitely welcomed the drop in temperature and warm breezes with open arms. I decided to take advantage of a beautiful afternoon with some photos in one of my favorite parks in downtown Dallas, Main Street Garden Park. I wanted to focus on this adorable sweatshirt that I purchased and completely forgot I even owned (perks of being a shopaholic). Usually, the whole bling-ed out look isn't part of my style, but I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! To top it off, I scored it for ten bucks at Buffalo Exchange...needless to say, I'm quite proud of my find. Hope you all enjoy this look and the photos!  Have a beautiful week, my friends -- blessings!

School Daze

Today officially marks my last first day of high school and I could not be more excited! I'm so ready for  this senior year and all the fun experiences I know will come with it. When planning my "back-to-school" outfit, my main focus was on being as comfy and free as possible (drastic comparison to freshman year when I was begging my mom to let me wear heels on the first day, thank God she didn't let me)! Consequently, the look that I settled on was sporty, light, and perfectly comfortable enough for me to run around all day in on the busy first day! Hope you guys enjoy; have a blessed week! xoxo
